DIY Home Decor Ideas to Refresh Your Space

Are you looking for a way to add some new life into your home? Whether it’s an apartment, house, or dorm room - sprucing up the space can be a great way to make it feel more like yours. But sometimes buying all-new furniture and decor isn't in the budget. That's where DIY projects come in!

DIY projects are one of the best ways to get creative with your interior design without breaking the bank. With just a few materials and tools (and maybe even things you already have lying around!), you can create something unique that will give any room an instant upgrade. Here are some of our favorite inspiring ideas for easy-to-make home decor:

  • Wall Art: A gallery wall with a few framed photos. Get crafty with paint chips from any hardware store - cut them into fun shapes and arrange them on canvas or poster board for custom wall art that looks like it was made by professionals! You could also try using wallpaper scraps or fabric samples if those are easier to find than paint chips near you.

  • Throw Pillows: I like the idea of a bed with a bedside table. Add texture, color, and patterned accents with throw pillows made out of old clothes or fabric scraps! All this project requires is basic sewing skills (or no sewing at all!) so anyone can do it regardless of their level experience crafting items from scratch. Plus – they’re super affordable too since most people already have plenty of extra fabric lying around their homes anyways!

  • Mason Jar Lighting: A collection of chandeliers hang from a ceiling. Mason jars make perfect accent lighting fixtures when filled with fairy lights – just drill holes in each jar lid so that electricity wires go through easily before attaching them together onto a wooden plank as one big light source above your bed/couch/dining table etc… This is such an easy project but really makes any room look cozy & inviting instantly once completed :)

These three ideas should help get those creative juices flowing while giving your living space much needed refreshment without spending too much money on expensive decorations & furniture pieces... So what are ya waiting waitin' fer? Let's start crafting!!

At 29 years old, my favorite compliment is being told that I look like my mom. Seeing myself in her image, like this daughter up top, makes me so proud of how far I’ve come, and so thankful for where I come from.
